Ahoy Bounty Island Players! Today I have an informative post concerning the new missions feature for you. This is some real insider information!
You might have noticed, as I have, that there are many missions that require you to collect certain types of food. This food is also often consumable for energy. You have probably also noticed that when you are working on a mission that requires a particular item, said item is much easier to come across. As a result, it can be very tempting to eat this food.
However, food required by a mission will not be easy to find indefinitely. In fact, if you eat more than one or two of a required food item while on a mission, you may find yourself having to acquire the required item from the store, or by discovering it naturally in the course of your digging!
In short: you can get away with using a mission-required item once or maybe even twice, but be wary of using them any further!

I work on Bounty Island, and it’s my job to talk to Bounty Island players. My goals are to encourage a dialogue that makes the game more fun, and to create a fun, engaging community around Bounty Island. So let’s have some fun!
I take these goals seriously, and I pledge the following to the Bounty Island community and to each individual Bounty Island Player:
- I will listen to your feedback, represent the community wherever necessary and get answers to your concerns.
- I will engage daily.
- I will be genuine and relevant.
- I will be a Bounty Island player myself.
In return, here is how you can help, and be a part of, the Bounty Island community!
- Express yourself. Tell us what you think about features in Bounty Island. What would make it more fun for you? Share Bounty Island stories!
- Tell your friends about Bounty Island and encourage them to join the community.
Let’s get to know each other. Here are five things you didn’t know about me:
- I can happily play ball- and frisbee-related sports for hours on end. I’m sort of like a dog that way. Consequently, I’m a dog person.
- I have one tattoo. I got it while travelling in Thailand in the summer of my 18th year.
- I always sleep with the window beside my bed open, because I like cold air.
- I’m growing a vegetable garden this year, for the first time ever.
- I love numbered lists.
Are you in? Let’s work together to create an awesome community experience around Bounty Island. In the end, it’s about having fun!
Our main discussion hub will likely be the Bounty Island Facebook page, and you can also reach out us on twitter @BountyIsland.
P.S. If you’re ever in Kitsilano on a sunny day, send me a tweet and we can play some frisbee, soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, etc.
